The Paleo Diet

A Journey Back to Real Food, Real Health

10 years, since I started Paleo Diet.
I no longer call it a “diet”, it has now become a lifestyle. A way of eating, living and understanding health at a deeper level.

What changed after 10 Years on Paleo?

People used to ask me, “Does Paleo really work?”

Kim, had eczema since he was 8 years old.
For almost 20 years, he depended on steroids, yet his skin remained broken, inflamed, and unresolved.

After just 1 month on Paleo, his skin became clear, smooth, and healthy, without medications or complicated treatment, just Food.

I used to be a chubby when young, but when you get old, it is known as obese. After starting Paleo, I lost some excess weight and fat distribution became more balanced. This has maintained for a good 10 years, except during pregnancy and sleep deprivation periods.

Does Paleo really work? I would shout YES!

How we started the Paleo diet?

Interestingly, both of us came from a medical background. We were trained to advise patients on nutrition, but looking back honestly: We only knew it superficially.

We did not truly understand what food does at the core level of health.

Everything changed when we came across sharing by Robb Wolf on Paleo nutrition and something clicked Kim.

He said, “This is it!”

That very moment, we made a radical decision:

We cleared everything that came in packaging from our kitchen. Meaning, no more pasta, bread, milk, cereals, and etc…

It felt extreme, with zero idea what to eat the next morning. We followed the diet plan in Robb Wolf’s book for the first 30 days.

🌿 What Is the Paleo Diet?

The Paleo Diet is based on a simple principle:

Eat what your body was designed to eat.

It focuses on real, whole, unprocessed foods, similar to what humans consumed before modern industrialized food systems.

Don’t get it wrong, Paleo Diet is not restrictive.
It is a return to simplicity.

The first 2 months was the hardest part.

I won’t romanticize it.

The cravings were real and we have to top up every portion of the real food, cannot imagine how starving were those cells.

There energy fluctuated, fighting over with the low carb brain fog.

Social eating felt awkward because you can longer allow to take what your peers eat.

Everything familiar was gone and grocer time longer making sure the ingredients are considered Paleo.

But what happened after the pain was heaven.

Our body was resetting.

We no longer dependent on sugar for satiety and no longer craving for processed and colouring snack, that give unhealthy weight gain, skin or gut issues.

🌿 How Paleo Benefits Our Health

From both medical and practical perspective, Paleo works because it addresses root causes.

1. Stabilizes Blood Sugar
No refined carbs → fewer spikes → better energy and hormonal balance

2. Reduces Inflammation
Removing processed food and industrial oils reduces chronic inflammation, which is linked to many modern diseases.

3. Supports Gut Health
Whole foods nourish the gut microbiome. Thus, better digestion, immunity and mental clarity.

4. Improves Metabolism
The body learns to burn fat efficiently to sustained energy instead of constant hunger

5. Strengthens Immunity
Nutrient-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals for stronger defence against illnesses.

Real Food Matters

Paleo is about what you take into your body and used in the cells.

When we eat real food, our body recognizes it, digest it efficiently and use it properly. This is why it aligns with our biology and supports healing.

On the other hand:
Processed food is often “empty signals”. It only fills the stomach, but confuses the body.

🌿 From Diet to Lifestyle

In a world full of convenience, we have slowly moved away from what is natural.

But the body has not changed. It still longs for simplicity, purity and nourishment.

Today, after 10 years, I no longer “follow Paleo.”
I simply choose real food.

It is always about an awareness.

“Is this nourishing my body or just filling it?”
